Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce

Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce
Ingredients (for 2–3 servings):
-
250 grams of spaghetti pasta
-
4 ripe tomatoes (grated)
-
2 cloves of garlic
-
2 tablespoons of olive oil
-
1 tablespoon of tomato paste (optional)
-
Salt
-
Black pepper
-
Oregano or basil (optional)
Preparation Steps:
Cook the pasta:
Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the instructions on the package. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Prepare the sauce:
In a large pan, heat the olive oil. Add finely chopped garlic and sauté lightly. Then add the grated tomatoes and tomato paste. Cook on low heat for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes reduce and the sauce thickens.
Add spices:
Season with salt, black pepper, and optionally, oregano or fresh basil. Once the sauce reaches the desired consistency, add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce before removing from the heat.
Serving:
Mix the pasta well with the sauce and serve hot.
